PAMELA BROWN, EXECUTIVE director
Pam’s contributions to Hillside Cemetery are many. As Executive Director, she oversees the numerous details inherent in the smooth operation of the cemetery’s landmark 1818 grounds including its maintenance, perpetual care, gravesite and cremation memorial garden sales, burials and publicity. A cornerstone of Wilton life, Hillside is home to town gatherings such as the Memorial Day Parade, International Day of Peace, Wreaths Across America, and the ever popular Walking Tours.
Pam is an Executive Board member of the Connecticut Cemetery Association (CCA) and New England Cemetery Association (NECA). A graduate of the International Cemetery, Cremation, Funeral Association University (ICCFAU) she was named Valedictorian of her 2021 class. Pam is also a Certified Celebrant; she received her training through the InSight Institute to meet the needs of families during their time of loss.

RUSSELL MATTEIS, LLC
For more than 30 years, Russell Matteis has dedicated his career to caring for cemeteries and the families they serve. At Hillside Cemetery & Arboretum, Russell oversees all graveside services while managing the cemetery's landscaping, maintenance, and day-to-day care.
Known for his expertise, compassion, and exceptional attention to detail, Russell takes great pride in ensuring that every service is conducted with dignity and respect and that the grounds remain beautiful, welcoming, and meticulously maintained. Whether preparing a final resting place, caring for the landscape, or addressing maintenance needs, his commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of his work.

Rivera and Sons, GROUNDS CREW
Wilder Rivera and his family provide the dedicated staff, equipment, and expertise that help keep Hillside Cemetery & Arboretum beautiful throughout the year. They are responsible for mowing, landscaping, seasonal grounds maintenance, snow removal, and many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that ensure the cemetery remains a peaceful and well-maintained place for families and visitors.
In addition to caring for the grounds, Wilder and his crew provide invaluable assistance with burials, monument settings, tree work, and special projects as needed. Their hard work, reliability, and commitment to quality play an essential role in preserving the beauty and dignity of Hillside every day.
